I like burgers. Always have, always will. And while people might not see NY as a burgertown, I tend to disagree. New York just has so much of everything that it is easy to forget they serve up some of the best burgers in the world. I mean seriously, take a closer look. The meat glistening, just sitting there on a grilled bun giving you that shy look like a girl on prom night just waiting for you to rip off her clothes. How you will never forget that juicy first kiss. Beneath its curved surface, secretly hidden away some chunks of blue cheese to tingle you taste buds... YUMM!!!!
Although I do have to say I am more of a traditional burger guy. Blue cheese is quite fancy. Normally I just prefer a regular slice of cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato and whatever condiments are available. Nonetheless, this burger which I was served at the Spotted Pig in the West Village was very tasty and is considered one of the best in the city by many. Not the best I have had in NYC, but definitely among the top 5 so far. The meat had a great taste, the bun was near perfect and the fries delicious.
