I loved to play with those dol... action figures I mean! And not only were the toys great but especially the audio tapes rocked!!!! In my childhood I posessed all of them until I gave them away to the neighbors kids because I wanted to be more grown up. Here is advice to all you 4 year olds reading my blog: Stay young and don't grow up. You hear me? DON'T... GROW... UP...!!!!! And don't give away your toys. Ever.
So I have been listening to the stories for a while now every night before I go to sleep. Of course they basically are a commercial for the toys but some of the stories are really pretty good and somewhat deep. Like when you find out that Beast-Man actually was a smart scientist before Skeletor screwed him over. In some of the stories there are not only just good and evil characters but some in between. You got some great voice actors in there too and can basically hear the high production value. Good stuff that I will never forget and always cherish.
I even liked the (crappy) real action movie that came out with Dolph Lundgren. Unfortunately all things have to end sooner or later as is also the case with He-Man. Mattel relaunched the Masters of the Universe with The New Adventures of He-Man line, which failed big time. It was actually the worst thing they could have done. Oh well. There even was a comic where He-Man battled Superman. Unfortunately, I have never seen it. I really would have liked to read it.
So, what I am trying to tell you - well, and mostly myself - it is Ok for a grown man to listen to stories for 4 year olds. I just don't know whether it is OK for a grown man to dress up like this:

I loved playing with He-Man. Must have had over 20 action figures including Skeletors castle with the - trapdooor! Evil galactic emperors must have a trapdoor in their castle. But I can't remeber the name of my favourite figure back then. He had those suction pads for hands and could cling to walls and windows.
I remember giving most of them away, it was a big mistake because they're quite a little worth nowaday besides the sentimental value.
yehaa... He-Man, my past right before "mask". yes I had a lot of them too, wont forget how I got orko in my "school-cornet". But I must disagree, I thought the new He-Man animated series wasn't that bad. I was pretty suprised that they walked on with the "morale of the story" thing. "So have you seen kids? everybody, even the smallest can make a change, and stay close to your friends!... isn't that right battlecat?" "growl!"
priceless in a time of "gotta catch them all!"
my favourit do... superactionfigure was He-Man with his indistructable armor. 1 scratch, 2 scratches, good as new! :-)
Yeah, I tried to avoid the d-word, too. :)
Oh my god, I had totally forgotten about that hillarious crap movie.
Did you know that they're making a new He-Man movie?
Famous Moriarty (latinoreview.com) recently reviewed the script, which he rated A+. Means we can actually expect something good this time.
Hi Felix,
how was the mood today on 911 in NY?
Was there any kind of minutes of silence or something?
I can't imagin.
Perhaps you can write some impressions.

Just read the Superman and He-Man comic. The "epic battle" consists of 4 pictures - bit lame...
Jau! Voll cool! Ich liebe Masters of the universe auch total!
Mehmet Arms, lol! New from Iraqi-Mattel^^
Sorry, but this is just great. I see a big selling line of action toys.
Hey Felix,
i also used to "play" (or better fight) with HE-MAN against Skeletor and his army. I had almost every figure that existed in the german market but somehow my mother took all the stuff from former times and gave it away FOR FREE(!)....
Also i had a lot of the TRANSFORMERS stuff which could have been of value when the new movie was released.
I only had a couple of the tapes of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE but these i had just rock!
Today i don't even own a tape deck anymore so i'm not that sad that these are gone forever now :D
@slipknotfreak:
"Mehmet Arms" lol :D i don't think that there was a turk inside that series hehehe
You seem to mean MAN-AT-ARMS the truly friend of He-Man and the Masters Of Universe.
Okay Felix take care and keep on rollin' and postin'.
PEACE
Toby
@ Toby
Yeah right I mean MAN-AT-ARMS, I just don't know (in that moment) exactly how to write his name....
